Message to Sidra Team Representatives Nigeria Regarding KYB Rejection Concerns
there is Urgent Community Concern on the AI-Based KYB Rejection by Sidra Club:
Dear Esteemed Sidra Team Representatives,
I trust this message reaches you in good health and high spirits.
We write on behalf of the Nigerian Sidra community to express deep concern over the recent wave of KYB partnership application rejections through the Sidra Club platform. Several credible and community backed companies have been denied KYB approval, raising serious doubts about the fairness and accuracy of the current review system.
It is evident that the AI-based screening system currently used to process KYB applications has proven highly unreliable, lacking the capacity to distinguish between genuine businesses and fraudulent entities. This is not the first time we've seen such issues the earlier KYC phase faced similar setbacks when AI was prioritized over human oversight.
We strongly urge the Sidra leadership to take immediate corrective measures, including:

Replacing the AI-driven verification model with a human-based review system, where your officially selected Sidra representatives in Nigeria are empowered to verify and evaluate all KYB applications.

These appointed representatives, being on-ground and familiar with the environment, are in a far better position to verify original and fake companies, unlike automated systems that lack contextual understanding.

Reopening and manually reviewing all previously rejected KYB applications, especially those with substantial community support and evidence of legitimacy.

Establishing a transparent feedback and appeal channel to resolve KYB disputes fairly.
The continuous disregard of human insight in favor of automation is creating frustration, distrust, and disengagement among Sidra’s most loyal grassroots supporters. If these issues are not addressed urgently, we may be forced to escalate our concerns to broader community platforms in ways that could impact the brand's credibility and growth across Nigeria.
